Finally Posting Again! :)

Hi!!!

It’s been over a year since I posted on my blog! Isn’t that crazy?! Over the past year, I found it really difficult to keep up with everything going on in my life. I needed to take a break from blogging and in that time I’ve completely changed the theme of my blog. So, R.I.P. Sincerely, Sarah Giselle and bonjour Sarah Giselle Blog! I want this blog to be more about me, my life, and things in my perspective. In other words, I want to let my personality show more even if it means slightly embarrassing myself 🙂

This past year has been the most amazing yet stressful one of my life. I started a fashion club, I lived in New York City for a month (more on that in the future), I went on an awesome vacation with my family, and I suffered through daily SAT test prep. There is so much that I wanted to share but realistically could not. However, I want those memories to be documented so I think I will be uploading retrospective posts in the near future (stay tuned)!

My first time crossing the Brooklyn Bridge last summer 🙂

My Fashion Club’s booth at the school’s club fair 🙂

I’m making it my personal goal to get back into blogging this summer. The last year has been so difficult and I’ve really missed having a creative outlet to keep myself sane 🙂 I can’t promise that I will upload every week but I will definitely be posting! I would rather take time to create posts that I am proud of than writing something halfheartedly, and of poor quality, just to say that I post weekly.

Also, I will be posting more regularly on my YouTube channel! If you want to see more of my life and my personality, then check out my videos! I have already uploaded a vlog and have another one on the way so make sure to subscribe to stay posted!

Well, that’s all for my re-introduction! All I want to say is thank you for reading and for sticking around! You will (finally!) be hearing much more of me!

♥︎♥︎♥︎,

Sarah

I’ve decided to start using it more and posting some of the boards I create to show youguys my wishlists or give you guys look inspiration. I hope you enjoy the first of many boards!

What I got for Christmas 2016!

Hi!

As Christmas has recently passed, and this holiday season is drawing to a close, I thought it would be fun to show you what I got for Christmas! However, instead of writing a long post and showing you pictures of everything, I decided to make a video and uploaded it to my YouTube channel (feel free to subscribe :)) so I could better show you all the things that I got. So, if you would like to see what I got for Christmas, watch the video above or go to my channel 🙂

I just want to say that I am so thankful for everything I got for christmas and for my wonderful friends and family. I love them all so much and cannot express how much I appreciate everything I’ve been given 🙂

Thank you guys so much for reading. I hope you all had a great holiday season and are ready to take on the new year!

Lots of love!

Sincerely,

Sarah Giselle

The end of 2016: Christmas, New Years, and everything in between!

Hello everybody and happy 2017!

I know it’s been a couple of weeks since I’ve written but I felt like I needed to take a break and really be in the moment during the holidays. As I’m writing this, 2016 has officially ended and 2017 has begun. I’ve just gotten back from a lovely trip to Mexico where I went to spend Christmas with my family (more on that in another post,) and visit some beautiful places. I had such a nice time and I feel so much more relaxed going into the New Year!

This holiday season I really wanted to spend time with people in my life that I don’t get to see very often. In doing so, I tried to enjoy every moment and not really worry about collecting lots of pictures (sorry not sorry). I’m so glad I did, however, because I got to enjoy and partake in all the activities that I would’ve been going crazy over trying to capture otherwise and make such fun memories. I love my family so much and I loved spending the holidays with them 🙂 As you might know, I spent Christmas in Mexico and came back home on New Year’s Eve to see in the new year with great friends of ours 🙂 I’ve been so happy these past few weeks and I hope I can carry these memories and feelings with me into the new year and my everyday life.

I hope you all have had an amazing Holliday season and an amazing 2017! I love you all so much and am so thankful for your support. I wish you all a (somewhat belated) Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Sincerely,

Sarah Giselle

Homecoming 2016!

img_3984Hi!

I’m so happy to be writing this week. I’ve been so busy lately with making sure this blog is fully ready to launch that I haven’t been able to upload any new content! However, I have officially finished setting up this new blog and I’m committing to uploading new posts every week! 🙂 This is my first official original post on this blog and it’s a long time coming. I’m going to tell you all about my first ever Homecoming dance! 🙂

As a sophomore in high school, I had already witnessed the whole Homecoming production. However, as a freshman I did not attend the dance or really participate in all the festivities. This year, though, I went all in and it proved to be so much fun!

For those of you who are familiar with homecoming, you know that each day of that week has a different theme within the overall theme that you dress down in. The theme of my homecoming week was Disney! On Monday, the theme was characters. However, I forgot to take a picture of my outfit that day so, I don’t have anything to show you. However, I did remember for the rest of the week 🙂 Tuesday’s theme was tacky tourist! Although my outfit (pictured above,)  doesn’t really fit into the “tacky” category, I made up for it in props. I spent the day walking around with disposable cameras, selfie  sticks, and lanyards galore!

Tuesday Outfit:

Top and Backpack- Zara

Jeans- Marc by Marc Jacobs

Shoes- Sperry Topsider

Watch- Kate Spade NY

The theme for Wednesday was Disney parks! So, I went for the classic Magic Kingdom Minnie Mouse look (pictured above). I kept it simple and just wore black, red, and my Minnie ears 🙂

Wednesday Outfit:

Minnie Ears- Walt Disney World

Turtleneck-  Calvin Klein

My favorite outfit of the week was Thursday’s by far 🙂 The theme was the 1960s! I wore a headscarf, a striped turtleneck, black pants, and flats. I styled my hair like a classic ’60s bob and completed the look with a bold makeup look 🙂

Thursday Outfit:

Scarf- Urban Outfitters

Turtleneck-  Zara

Pants- Vince

Flats- Michael Kors

Another fun thing happened on Thursday… I got my eyebrows done for the first time ever! In preparation for the dance, I went with my mom to get eyebrows threaded after class on Thursday. I will admit that I was nervous beforehand but I absolutely loved it and loved the result! The lady who did my eyebrows was very kind and did it quickly and painlessly 🙂

Friday’s theme was color wars! I dressed in red and black to be in the class color and went for a bright red eye look!

Friday Outfit:

Top and Jacket- Zara

Jeans- Calvin Klein

I spent the rest of the day on Friday preparing for the dance the next day. I went to get my nails done and tried to relax and go to sleep early that night.

Saturday was the big day! I woke up very early to attend the Confirmation of a close friend and spent the afternoon at her  house celebrating and getting ready for the dance. I decided to do my own hair and makeup (with the help of my friends and family,) for the dance which worked out perfectly and saved me money 🙂

Homecoming Outfit:

Dress- BCBGMAXAZRIA

Heels- Coach

Ring- Pandora

All in all, the entire experience was so much fun and the dance was amazing! I went with about 11 of my friends and we had such a great time dancing and taking pictures. I absolutely suggest going to your high school homecoming dance, even if you only go once, just for the experience. You won’t regret it!

I hope you guys enjoyed this post and maybe got some inspiration for your Homecoming outfits! Feel free to comment down below and leave any suggestions you may have. Also, don’t forget to subscribe below to get updates on new posts.

I love you guys! Thanks for reading 🙂

Sincerely,

Sarah Giselle

Hi! My name is Sarah Giselle Garcia and I would like to welcome you to my brand new blog! For those of you coming from my old blog, sarahgiselle.weebly.com , I’d like to welcome you back 🙂 This is my new official website where I’ll be frequently uploading posts and pictures. I have added a new newsletter feature, so be sure to subscribe to me to receive updates about new posts and exclusive information. I decided to start Sincerely, Sarah Giselle in February of 2016 because I wanted to share my love of the fashion industry, mainly with my friends, as a hobby. However, as my numbers began to increase I decided I was ready to take the next step and commit to my own website and domain. I’m extremely excited to do this full time! If you have any suggestions or requests for posts, feel free to contact me (information on contact page). Thank you for reading!
